TRANSMARINE is the name given to trade disruption insurance product that is written by the underwriting agency Michael Else and Company.

The operation started nearly 40 years ago in the heart of the insurance market in London, and our experience has enabled us to develop close working relationships with the shipping world and other operators in the insurance sector.

Originally, TRANSMARINE was run as a marine mutual operation but due to demand from our clients, it was demutualised and now offers fixed premium cover, without exposure to supplementary calls.
